My Beautiful Beginnings Humanistic Integrative Counselling

Counselling in London and Bedfordshire & Online

Every Ending Is A New Beginning

BSc Psychology in Practice | MSc Health and Clinical Psychology | Humanistic Integrative Counsellor

Welcome, I’m Demelza Honeyborne — a qualified humanistic integrative counsellor with a special focus on trauma and emotional wellbeing.

I hold a BSc in Psychology in Practice and an MSc in Health and Clinical Psychology. My training as a humanistic integrative counsellor means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, offering support that is flexible, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique experiences and needs. I provide a safe, supportive, and confidential space for individuals from all walks of life to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a period of change, carrying the weight of past trauma, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I am here to support you.

Demelza Honeyborne

My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that healing and growth happen through genuine connection. I welcome clients of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and life experiences, and work in a way that values diversity, inclusion, and the individuality of each person. I adapt my way of working to suit you as a whole person — not just a problem to be solved. Our work together can be short- or long-term, and I work at your pace, with your goals in mind.

I have a particular interest in working with clients from African, Caribbean, and other ethnic minority backgrounds. I understand how culture, identity, and lived experience can shape the way we carry pain, seek help, and begin to heal. My approach is sensitive to the impact of racism, intergenerational trauma, and marginalisation, and I aim to provide a therapeutic space that honours your story without the need for you to explain or justify your identity.

Culturally competent and sensitive, safe, compassionate space to explore, heal, and grow.

Life brings challenges that can feel heavy to carry on your own. Counselling is a collaborative process where we gently explore your experiences, thoughts, and emotions.

Speak in Confidence

Whether you’re navigating trauma and past experiences, anxiety and stress, low mood, grief, identity struggles, or simply feeling stuck, counselling can offer a private, non-judgmental space you need to pause, reflect, and begin again with support and understanding, making sense of what you’re feeling and discover new ways of coping, growing, and relating to the world around you. I tailor my approach to suit you. I won’t give advice or try to fix you because you are not broken. Instead, I offer a warm, respectful space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you move at your own pace. My integrative approach offers flexibility and depth, helping you to reconnect with yourself and live more fully. I see you as more than a diagnosis or a set of symptoms. My aim is to build a genuine, trusting relationship with you, where real change can take place.

A problem shared...

Reaching out can feel like the most challenging part, but it’s also the first step toward something new. I offer a complimentary 15-minute initial consultation, allowing us to determine whether working together is a good fit for you. When you talk about what is troubling you, you are no longer carrying it alone in our sessions. You will find a confidential, non-judgmental space where your thoughts and feelings are heard, respected, and valued.

Sharing your problem can help you:

• Feel less isolated

• Gain clarity and new perspectives.

• Explore your emotions safely

• Understand patterns in your life

• Develop healthier ways of coping

• Reclaim your inner strength and self-worth

Make better, healthier new choices

I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, recognising that our differences in culture, gender, race, sexuality, religion, age, ability and life experiences deeply shape who we are and how we see the world. I offer a culturally sensitive, inclusive and respectful space where your unique identity and lived experience are acknowledged and valued. I have a special interest in supporting clients from African, Caribbean, and other ethnic minority communities. Whether you are navigating racial trauma, cultural expectations, or migration experiences, this is a space where your story matters. You are welcome to bring every part of yourself. There doesn’t have to be a crisis. If something doesn’t feel right — or if you feel disconnected from yourself — counselling can help you find your way forward.
